The Kisser by Doc Johnson

April 21st, 2008 · 2 Comments · Toys for Women

I was very excited when I first saw this toy, as I’m a big fan of external stimulation. This is a clitoral vibrator, so it’s designed to tease sensitive external parts of the body. The Kisser by Doc Johnson is soft, cute and seems like it would replicate the teasing of a tongue. It’s made of a spongy elastomer (think squishy rubber-like scientific stuff), is phthalate free and waterproof. The cupped tip has nubbies to caress the clitoris. Yum, right?

Unfortunately, The Kisser left me wanting a bit more. The first time I used it was with a partner. He used it to stimulate my clit while penetrating me. After a short time, it was put aside because it just didn’t provide quite enough punch. Later, during the same session, it was picked up again to use as an add-on to oral pleasure. Once again, I ended up tossing it aside after a while. (Just give me the full solo tongue already!)

I felt disappointed, because I had high expectations for this toy, and I do love other Doc Johnson products. So I decided to try a third time – alone. You know, just to be ABSOLUTELY SURE and see if I felt any differently. I started on my clit. The curve of the tip is nice and the jelly feel would be great for a sensitive women. However, I personally like something more firm when teasing the man in the boat. So, I thought I’d move on to my G- Spot. (Just to be totally, really, really sure. I’m a journalist, so sometimes I make sacrifices.) When holding the handle at the base it was difficult to apply pressure on the spot because the shaft is more flimsy. The verdict is, it might be enjoyable for someone who enjoys a lighter vibration, but I’m a gal who needs someone to kiss me a little more aggressively.

I went to Fascinations and picked up 2 toys, The Kisser being one of them. With the ergonomic design of this vibrator, I was quite excited to test this one out first. From the shape of the stimulus end, it seems that it would be the perfect little cup for my little clit.

When trying this out, my disappointment hit hard. I fell into the same problem with this vibe. I am not a huge fan of crazy vibrators, but I too was left wanting more.

The shape is intriguiging and the nubs could have been a nice touch. And by all means I love material that is pthalate free, soft, and water proof. Packaged with the right motor, this could have possibly been a “go-to” vibe. However, it just wasn’t there.

When applying “normal” pressure onto my clit, I felt that the nubbies lost their point, and the vibration was weak. I also felt that there was only one position in which this vibe had the best results. I am a big fan of making all of my toys multi functional. There was just no excitment left in this relationship, and I had to kick “The Kisser” to the back of the drawer.
